Tabin Row. My new home for the next 6 months. Two canvas walls, a plexi-glass roof, and two wood side walls never felt so welcoming.
And so community life begins. I will spend my summer with 45 other apprentices at the UCSC Farm & Garden. We will live, work, and learn together everyday for the next 6 months.
Seedlings get their start in the Greenhouses at CASFS every year in preparation for the Spring Plant Sale.

Seasons change and gypsies wander. My time in Hawaii is done for now, but California is in full bloom and I find myself in Santa Cruz just in time for apple blossoms among redwoods. For the 2012 growing season I will be apprenticing at the UC Santa Cruz Farm & Garden!
